These classes/programs are FREE to any child while they are Five years Old!
Hey kids, want to learn to ice skate so you can play hockey? This class is for the beginner skater– no experience required, skate rental is included. The class is 30 minutes long and they run 7 or 8 weeks depending on the session. If you’d like to sign up and attend more than one session at a time, include payment for each class with the registration form. Be early to get skates. A helmet is required, and hockey helmet with face mask is preferred. Early registration recommended, space is limited. Email address important– we will notify you by email once registration is received.

Learn to Skate: Learn to skate for hockey is held once a week, Saturday morning at 8:30 am class and a seperate class on Mondays at 5:15pm, directly before the Shoreline Hockey program. This Class is for children needing to learn how to skate, so they may progress to Shoreline hockey. Cost for a six week class is $30. No equipment is necessary, and skate rental is available. Helmets are required for this class. Hockey helmet with face mask preferred. Must register for USA hockey @www.usahockey.com (6 & under free to register!).

These levels are based upon skill, not age. Don’t worry if your child does not fit the age classifications, we will place him/her in the appropriate group for their optimum development!
SHORELINE HOCKEY: Must be able to skate on his/her own without any assistance, and get up by themselves when they fall. Our recreational in house program is an instructional program designed to improve skills with one practice a week and 1 game on Saturday. Cost for this USA Hockey program is $250 for the entire season (November-March). Players are responsible for registering with USA Hockey at USAHockey.com, and the fee associated with that is $35 for players 7 years old and older. 6 and under are free, but must still register. All practices and games are held here at Lakeshore Sports Centre for level 1 and 2.
Level one beginning: Typically children aged 3 to 6, children brand new to hockey.
Level two advancing: Typically children aged 7 to 10, some experience, placed in this level by coach evaluation
